Manchester City highly rated keeper signs new contract but joins Championship club

Manchester City's highly rated goalkeeper Aro Muric have completed his move to Nottingham Forest.

The 20-year-old Kosovo international played an integral part in City's Caraboa Cupa victory by pulling out world class saves and commanding the back brilliantly. But before leaving the club on loan in search of first team football, Muric extended his contract for further three years while penning an emotional letter to the club, Pep Gurdiola and the other keepers.

"Extending my current deal with City by a further three years is incredible and an honour for me", Muric wrote on his Instragram page. "I really enjoyed the 2018/19 season and to be involved in our successful Caraboa Cup run was an amazing experience.

The players and supporters have made me feel so happy and part of everything and the club have showed their belief in me with this deal. "I want to be the best i can under Pep Guardiola and i'm learning from the very best in the business with Ederson and Claudio Bravio at the club. Going on loan to Nottingham Forest will give me the opportunity to gain more first team experience and i'm looking forward to the challenge". Muric loan move means that Manchester City will sign another goalkeeper this summer.

It is a clear statement from the directors of the club that they consider him to be a key piece of the puzzle for next season. Pogba  continues to train and has not shown any indication that he would try to force a move, even wearing the captain's armband on the club's tour of Australia.
